Osaka Tenjin Matsuri Japan

The Tenjin Festival is a spectacular boat festival held at the Osaka Tenman-guu Shrine in Osaka. It is one of the three big festivals in Japan. It has been more than 1000 years since it started. The highlight of the Festival is "Funatogyo", which is a parade of 100 boats going up and down the river. It is the symbol of "Suito Osaka", (Water Metropolis Osaka), which is a festival of water and fire.
